GERMAN K.43 RIFLE, AC 45 MARKED K & G43 Price: $2,495.00
Item Number: 14282   Qty: Add To Cart

DESCRIPTION:  This was the most produced German WW2 semi-automatic rifle. It was designed by Walther.
This particular rifle, serial number 3489, was assembled at Walther (code ac) in January 1945. It is unique in that is is marked both K.43 and G.43. The G.43 mark was put on the receiver when it was made--it is in exactly the same position on an ac 44 and bcd rifle it was compared with. The receiver is the scarce milled type which has been attributed to a French firm. The receivers on these 3 rifles bear only inspection marks from the plant they were assembled at. They could have been shipped as components intentionally that way, without inspection first but that is unlikely. It is more likely they had to be evacuated due to the invasion before they could be inspected. These milled receivers are not common.
The rifle is typical 1945 manufacture with single bolt guide, no muzzle nut or cut in front sight base for the latch, smooth rear sight slide buttons and external manual dust cover. The stock is inspected on the left side.
Comes with a gcb K43 marked magazine and original sight hood.
Matching and original except for the bolt body (not visible without disassembly) which probably were mixed during cleaning during the War. The stock was never numbered, nor were the gas system parts.
Scarce variation!

CONDITION:  Very good. The bolt carrier has been cold blued and appears to have been sanded a bit. Rest of the metal shows almost no wear and has original finish with no wear, rust or pits, just the slightest patina. Stock unsanded original with no signs it ever had a serial number and clear inspector marks. Handguard with a repaired crack in the center rear about 3" long.
